For macaron lovers out there, the thought of a day devoted to this delicacy is a welcome one. In Paris, Pierre Hermé (with the Relais Desserts) has hosted Macaron Day for the last seven years as a colourful way for gourmands to welcome spring and donate to a good cause. This year’s event takes place on Tuesday, March 20th and thankfully, La Bamboche has brought this event to Toronto.
The lengthy list of participating patisseries is offering a free macaron to anyone who walks in and mentions they’re celebrating Macaron Day TO. Limited quantities, of course, so don’t dally. In addition, 25% of all macarons purchased on Macaron Day will benefit the Red Door Family Shelter. Pretty simple. Pretty sweet. Non?
