While I haven’t been going out often in the last little while, I’m trying to make up for it. Here’s what’s on my radar.
The Bellevue
Robbie Hojilla (ex-Ursa/Woodlot) is at The Bellevue tonight (Monday, August 20th) cooking up a 5-course modern Filipino inspired feast. For $35, it’s a great deal. And I hear there may be karaoke…!

Butter & Egg Road: Muskoka
I’d attended a previous Butter & Egg Road event in Leslieville and was treated to well-curated eats with a well-travelled group. The next adventure is set where it all began with barbeque, beer, and s’mores. There’s also a campfire singsong with singer-songwriter Justin Rutledge – which to me reads: acoustic karaoke. Have I mentioned that I like karaoke?
B&ER is members only, so you’ll have to sign up for more information. I hear Chicago is up next and am also pondering that one (cheap Porter flights until tomorrow!).
AwesTRUCK
Toronto loves food trucks and now we’re letting the trucks know who we love best on Sunday, September 9th. I hear they’re launching credit card payments during the event as well, so you no longer have to arrive with a pocketful of change. If you want to give your $0.02 anyway, voting closes August 31st.

Nota Bene’s 4th Anniversary Special
Not so much an event, but hey, I’m all about a good deal. Get a $200 GC to Nota Bene for $150 for a limited time. Think of how many salted caramel chocolates I could get! Happy Birthday Nota Bene!

Eat To The Beat
On October 16th, experience the eats & treats of over 60 female chefs to benefit Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada. Now, to find the dress equivalent of eating-pants…
And that’s it for now. I’m sure more will come up as we head into harvest season! What’s on your calendar?
