I mentioned brunch at Parts & Labour back in March, but I’ve now been a few times since, and I find it’s still worth the trek and I continue to recommend it to people. I remember the first time I read the brunch menu at Parts & Labour; though not a long list, I was astonished that I wanted to try every single item. Nothing overly fancy, but all solid breakfast options done well. Lots of space, reservations, and coffee refills seal the deal.
The crowd is a mix of young hipsters and families. The room, with its long tables, is great for larger groups or just spreading out. The current menu seems to have dropped The P&L (a fried egg on top of pork belly on top of a pancake, doused in maple syrup). Too bad. But as long as they keep the English Breakfast, I’ll be happy.
