Good Laksa in Toronto is hard to find – and it’s non-existant in downtown Toronto. But there are gems and my top pick is One2 Snacks. Their rendition is full of tofu, fish balls, shrimp, and chicken loaded with perfect spicing – a hot curry with big flavours and mellowed by coconut milk – and fat noodles (I prefer the egg noodles only). Of course, there’s also kuih dadar (a green pandan crepe with grated coconut soaked in gula melaka) on weekends that my mom loves – worth trying. If you’re a Malay or Singaporean ex-pat longing for a taste of home, this is the place to go. A note on locating it – it’s a tiny shop in the North-East corner of the plaza. Take-out only, unless you can snag one of the eight spots along the wall.

Ooo this is exciting! Would never have thought to come to this plaza for S’pore-Malay food. How would you compare this place to Gourmet Malaysia?
