Colette Grand Cafe

It’s rare that I feel more strongly about the decor than I do about the food, but at Colette Grand Cafe this is true. The space reminds of a home. A really, really, nicely appointed home.

Brunch at Parts & Labour

Nothing overly fancy, but all solid breakfast options done well. Lots of space, reservations, and coffee refills seal the deal.

New Year's Day Eats 2012

We know that pretty much everyone is open New Year’s Eve, but what about New Year’s Day? Outside of hotel restaurants and Chinatown, here’s a list I compiled of decent brunch and dinner eats for January 1, 2012.

A Bite Of Beast

The Full Irish arrives at Ceili Cottage

I had another post about Ceili Cottage lined up, but I’m preempting it with this one. Why? Because though we were told “next week” when we asked about the Full Irish (banger, rasher, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato, potato… Continue Reading →

An Artful Brunch at AGO's Frank

Since the Art Gallery of Ontario re-opened about a year ago, I hadn’t seen anything more than its curvy glass exterior. And while I still haven’t been through their redesigned galleries, I did recently manage to hit up their not-a-cafeteria… Continue Reading →
